- Doors and windows should be kept closed to prevent air loss.
- It should be kept at least three inches away from walls (6 inches would be ideal) and furniture to maintain an unrestricted airflow.
- Keep the coils clean. Look for frost on the coils. If frost collects on the coil, the air temperature is too cool to operate the machine. Frost keeps the machine from working properly
- Keep the bucket clean.
- Help reduce humidity by making sure gutters and downspouts are clean and dryer vents and exhaust fans are working properly.
